The Policy Working Group is seeking your help! If you are interested in joining an interprofessional global community with the goals of increasing clarity of IPECP concepts and updating core documents to inform IPECP policy, please join the Policy Development Working Group or contact Jose Rodrigues Freire (email@example.com) or Barbara Maxwell (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Over the next two years they will be working on some important projects including:
- Reviewing and updating the WHO Framework for Action (2010) and the Sydney Declaration, to align with recent publications and developments e.g. Workforce 2030
- Updating relevant documents, e.g. publications produced by the World Health Organization (WHO), Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), CAIPE, and others that present policy approaches to the implementation and sustainability of IPECP.
- Conducting literature reviews to establish the current best evidence for interprofessional education and collaborative practice
- In consultation with member networks and other relevant stakeholders, developing Policy Briefing Notes to inform interprofessional education and collaborative practice (IPECP) policy.
The output of this working group is expected to be disseminated at a workshop at the ATBH X conference in Qatar in 2020, through publication in the Journal of Interprofessional Care, and through the Interprofessional.Global website.
